Non-Profit Farming Trust
We worked with a non-profit farming trust to develop a strategy for 'Near-Term Opportunities' in more sustainable farming.
The trust is a multi-generational trust established to ensure that farming remains a productive and sustainable activity, and recently concerns over the impact of some farming practices on land and water resources, as well as increased stress on the farming community led to LFI being engaged to undertake this research work.
Our initial report identified specific opportunities where farming systems could be readily converted to generate higher yields in new crops with more sustainable land use.
We are now undertaking the second-phase of this work to develop in-depth strategies for migrating to more sustainable production opportunities.
